WP-34S keyboard overlays wearing out?

Same observations here - two WP 34S in random use - lots of sunshine sometimes; both look like new. The older overlay is even from a very early run without coating.

IIRC, Gerson is a real WP 34S power user. He should know about the durability of those overlays in the real world.
