Wow, bold to admit you have one of these; most folks that have one simply don't mention it. ;-)

But this machine is interesting to me, not because of what it has/does, but more because all of the key decisions about it's feature set seemed to be about what NOT to include, with HP clearly struggling to make it fit between the -10B and the -17B. Relative to the 10 and 17 feature sets, it seems -11 or -12 would have been better choices but those model numbers had famous and successful predecessors, which left them with -13, and likely the marketing folks simply said NO to that.

And that's how HP-14B was selected... at least that's my theory.

Whenever I try to add two numbers on the 14B, say 3+4, I invariably press 3 INPUT 4 + and get "3.00+" as a result. That's when I usually notice the "=" key...
