However, with interpreted languages like RPL, every command executed takes a significant amount of time. Therefore, I think in the case of User RPL, it is desirable to have a larger set of commands and functions than would be appropriate for a compiled language system. This could obviously be taken to an absurd level where the user commands take huge amounts of memory and the menu system becomes excessively large and cumbersome. Where to draw the line is a matter for endless discussion... :-) John |
