17Bii side battery

I picked it up for a steal so am looking to repair it as it won't turn on, I think due to battery spring corrosion. Clamshell? Perhaps you are talking about the 19BII? The 17BII was a "pioneer" model as far as I recall.

Anyway, opening the clamshell is a pain, here's Geoff's method (we're eagerly awaiting The Book )
