Instead of SIMPLIFY, just try EVAL, which reduces it to \(x\cdot \sqrt [ 3 ]{ x } \). If you want a result of \({ \sqrt [ 3 ]{ x } }^{ 4 }\), try TSIMP, then EXP2POW, then SIMPLIFY. (There must be a simpler way, but this way does work).
