If you're willing to add $$[x_1, 0]$$ at the beginning and $$[x_n, 0]$$ at the end of the list you can use:

Example:
{
[ 2 0 ]
[ 2 1 ]
[ 4 5 ]
[ 7 8 ]
[ 7 0 ]
}

Area = 25.5
