I'm trying to get it to return the realvalued answer. I've edited the original post to better clarify my question. Complex numbers are not involved in the calculations for the problem sets that I am working. The option to use complex numbers is likewise disabled. Why then, is the calculator returning a complex answer involving i? I've also tried this with the option for 'Principal' disabled, the results are identical. (Though, I don't know if that is related to what I am seeing here or not)
