I'd posit that if you don't know which is which, you really shouldn't be using them These aren't functions you can just sit down and use blindly, you need some degree of understanding. That's true for pretty much all functions of course, there isn't anything special about these.

It is easy to find out which are discrete.

Binomial, Poisson & geometric are discrete, the rest are continuous.
