This problem is not uncommon for Pioneers (although as Bob points out, perhaps my original assessment that it affects "most" of them is inaccurate). You could probably fix it by carefully introducing some adhesive (maybe 3M Super77?) under the faceplate, but I've never actually tried this on any of the units i have come across with this problem....
