Proof:

atan(x) = x - x^3/3 + x^5/5 - x^7/7 + ...
atan(1) = pi/4 = 1 - 1/3 + 1/5 - 1/7 + ...

2*I = 2/(1*3) - 2/(3*5) + 2/(5*7) - 2/(7*9) + ...
      = (1-1/3) - (1/3-1/5) + (1/5-1/7) - (1/7-1/9) + ...
      = (1-1/3+1/5-1/7+...) + (-1/3+1/5-1/7+...)
      =           pi/4               +      (pi/4 - 1)

→ I = pi/4 - 1/2
