Typo fixed. Thanks

Y = 1+X, approximately
eps = -(Y - 1 - X)
Z = eps / Y ; correction to eps

correction = LN(1+X, exactly) - LN(1+X, approximately)
= LN(Y + eps) - LN(Y)
= LN(1 + eps/Y)
= LN(1 + Z)
= Z - Z²/2 + Z³/3 ...

-> log1p(X) ~ LN(Y) - (Y-1-X)/Y
