No, the figures are from the manual and the unit was always like this. Installed new from a quality manufacturer in 2000. Initially we intended to heat the entire house with a heat pump, but one really only gets good efficiency form a water-water pump. In our location this would have meant to drill a hole 150-200m deep. Much too expensive for a single house. We decided to use wood and solar collectors for heating instead. Almost maintenance free since 19 years - no planned obsolescence here.
