Also a test with ztimer on the ti89 depleted its batteries (and finally I could use the BC700!). This let me realize a pretty impressive fact. Calculators, phones and similar mobile devices may be used as advanced stopwatches, but they drain a lot of energy.

A digital watch is actually showing all the single seconds changes for a year or more (so 31 million changes or more), and it uses normally a fraction of the energy required by a calculator. Pretty impressive.
