HP-12C very early versions wanted
Greetings all.

I currently own several HP-12Cs, one with the very low production number of 2151A05579. The one I bought new in 1983 (and still works) because I was a first-year Financial Analyst is 2201A. I wish I still had the box, but I chucked it.

Before you offer your model on Ebay, please let me know if you have an earlier Serial Number than I currently own, I'll be happy to pay a good price.

Of course excellent condition is desirable, but as long as it is working order (passes self-test) then I am interested. Sorry, not interested in "parts only" models.

Hi There, I have an HP 12C, there is a number stamped in the bevel edge to the right of the battery door: CN05200721. The calculator is new looking so i don't think it is early. where is the serial number located?

That is the serial number, your 12C was made in China in 2000 (or possibly 2010). About 20 (or 30) years too late to be considered an early 12C.

See here to see how to read the serial number.

RE: HP-12C very early versions wanted
I just paid 50 Euros for a rough shape version of a USA made 12C with a 2149 made serial number on Ebay, so if anyone is tempted to sell a lower version than that number, let me know! I really just bought it for the freak value of having a lower number than my 2151 (which is in beautiful shape).

Still on my quest for a USA 20XX number.
