programing the HP42S
I am looking for someone w/ HP programing experience to program
my 42S. it is a program that allows me to enter numbers in ft and inches
w/ fractions. and convert back to a decimal number.
I have all of the "key strokes" and have it on another of my 42S calc.
but I need a back up. I use this calc daily in my eng. consulting job.

I am willing to pay for this service. will ship the calc. in the U.S.A.

RE: programing the HP42S
Can you copy the mnemonic commands from the working HP-42S to a piece of paper or enter in a text editor? Then you can key in the same commands to your second HP-42S?

RE: programing the HP42S
I'm very familiar with programming the 42s and would be interested in at least seeing the program.

Are you looking to put it on a second HP 42s and just don't want to take the time?

I don't quite understand, why don't you simply type in the program yourself?
Do you have a printer for the 42s? If you do you could print the program and save some time typing it into the other calculator.

RE: programing the HP42S
He sent me the printout of the program. Someone else had entered it on his calculator a long time ago, the printout is from 1996 and he'd like to have it on a second calculator but doesn't know what all the commands on the printout mean or how to input them.

We're working on sorting it out.

Oh you wouldn't believe how fishy I can be. Comes from all that tilapia my wife makes me eat Wink

He sent me an old program printout and I created three custom videos giving him a crash course in entering it:
