hello
can hp prime calculater solve formula like that one in the attachment ?
how can i do this ? i tried with no success !
answer must be y-2x/y+2x

Try collect(...), can be found in the Algebra section of the user guide or, as simplify is at hand :simplify(), cursor in the brackets, help, tree, 1 down.

Why?

((y/x)-2)/((y/x)+2), for example, makes much more sense to me because it shows that this is a function of (y/x) only.

EDIT: that is assuming you meant (y-2x)/(y+2x)...
