a desolve question.... - webmasterpdx - 07-12-2017 01:25 AM When I look at the help examples for desolve, the double derivative is expressed using the ' character....as in: desolve(y''+y=0,y) Now, when I cut and paste the example, it works, but when I try to type the ' char myself, it fails....I was getting the ' char from the shift-9 menu.....which obviously isn't the same ' char as is used in the examples. How do I generate the correct ' character? Thx -Donald RE: a desolve question.... - webmasterpdx - 07-12-2017 01:30 AM OK, I found that if I used the shift-chars and selected the ' character, that one worked. Why are the 2 characters different, and is there a faster way to create the correct ' character that I'm overlooking? Thx RE: a desolve question.... - webmasterpdx - 07-12-2017 02:47 AM I think I found the answer.... Use shift-() which gives you the ' ' double single quote....and this quote works... -Donald |
