Question on DM15L upgrading... - zeno333 - 06-28-2017 07:40 PM

The direction for a Firmware upgrade on the Swiss Micro DM15L mention pressing the "Program" button, is that referring to the program hole on the back of the calculator?...I ask since it mentions using a paper clip for the reset button on the back, but no mention of a paper clip for the Program button...If it is not on the back of the calculator, is it an option in the Windows Toolkit software itself and not on the calculator?..Thanks

That tripped me up a bit at first too. There should be a button labeled "Program" within the updater. Click that.

1. Connect the USB cable.
2. Launch the updater.
3. Select the correct COM port.
4. Click "Open" and select the firmware file.
5. Click the "Program" button in the updater.
6. Press the "Reset" button on the calculator (the updater program should be telling you to do this now if everything is working normally).

The programming instructions on the website don't work for me. Try this.

After choosing the correct COM port,

1. Press and hold the RESET button on the back of the calculator.
2. Click the Program button on the Firmware Update Tool.
3. Release the RESET button.

Firmware update done in 11 seconds.

This worked for me. After clicking "Program" in the updater program, the update process in the window reacts and prepares to start, but waited for me to press the "Reset" pin with a paperclip for the actual update process to start.
