17Bii side battery - Bipman - 04-19-2017 12:04 PM Hi I've looked around on the forum for how to open a 17bii calculator with the battery holder on the side. I can't seem to find anything here or on the web except for the back battery model. I picked it up for a steal so am looking to repair it as it won't turn on, I think due to battery spring corrosion. There doesn't seem to be any screws so is it just a case of forcing the clam-shell apart? Bipman RE: 17Bii side battery - BartDB - 04-19-2017 04:24 PM (04-19-2017 12:04 PM)Bipman Wrote: Hi Clamshell? Perhaps you are talking about the 19BII? The 17BII was a "pioneer" model as far as I recall. Anyway, opening the clamshell is a pain, here's Geoff's method (we're eagerly awaiting The Book ) http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/hpmuseum/archv020.cgi?read=185173 -Bart RE: 19Bii side battery - Bipman - 04-19-2017 04:55 PM Ah yes, the 19bii !
