Thanks for sharing this very interesting machine and for the great review (as always).
I understand it misses the charm of a HP-16C but for the money it is well worth.
And another one to my "wanted" shortlist.

There are FOUR Casio CM-100 calculators (two of which are NIB) for sale on TAS for $25.00 {nib} or less {used}.

BEST!

There are one less now. In fact last time I checked, there were only two units left.
They are going fast!

I just bought one for 48.28 USD (that's right, if you have the Atlantic ocean between you and the seller, the final price will almost double due to shipping costs in this case).

Darn distance! GRRR.... The CM-100 is my first computer algebra calculator (I don't think I have an HP 16C emulator)

The TAS seller have just relisted this item and at this moment there are 5 of 6 brand new units available for sell. Same price (25USD) free s&h in U.S.A. only.

I asked them what would be the s&h costs for Europe and their answer was:
"i only ship through ebay global shipping program"
So in my case that translates to around 24 USD for shipping including the custom fees, which is nice, despite the high s&h&c costs, because I know the package will be delivered to my door with no questions asked from those picky guys working at Portuguese Customs.

Note: I'm not associated with that eBay seller.
I have bought one unit from them and I wanted to share my experience here to the other collectors.
So far, the communication was swift and the shipment was done in the very same day I have ordered and paid the item.

RE: Retro Review: Casio CM-100 - damaltor - 02-20-2017 11:25 AM

Unfortunately the seller will not ship to germany and also cannot be contacted to ask him. anyone interested in relaying the package to me...? Sad
i would offer a free interface for casio basic calculators (see here) for whoever would buy and relay the calculator to me - of course i would pay for the item and s&h.

I'm in the same boat as you, although in Portugal.
Apparently the seller has blocked all communication on this specific auction after it was relisted. One week ago it was possible to contact him/her.

I have sent a message to the seller asking to reconsider changing the shipping scope, by using my existing message flow related to this auction from one week ago.
Let's wait and see.

RE: Retro Review: Casio CM-100 - jebem - 02-21-2017 11:07 PM

Hi, people, this is to let you know that the seller has changed the auction to include international shipment.
Just checked it now, and the costs are US $13.83 International Priority Shipping to European countries with additional import charges: US $9.42.

Thanks for the info. They are now all gone.

They are back again!!!
The seller have submitted another batch of six more Casio CM-100 for sale at the same price and s&h!

RE: Retro Review: Casio CM-100 - jebem - 03-01-2017 07:43 AM

Did any fellow members, besides our Eddy of course, got this calculator delivered from that seller?
My two units are coming towards to me, one is in Madrid hub so is closer to me now, and the other is roaming between USA hubs for now.

By the way, the seller must have a large batch of CM-100's, like Bob commented before, because the auction continues with yet another lot of 6 units!

Yes, I received one yesterday. It took a couple days to ship, but was delivered quickly, though of course I'm Also in the US.

Funny to see that just now there is one on german ebay:

I guess that it might be one of the american lot.... Smile

Today I have received the first unit. I was expecting a New Other unit packaged in a worn cardboard box as I saw in the auction pictures, but I got an absolutely "New in The Box" inside a blister type packaging instead.
It took 15 days to be dispatched from USA to Portugal. Not bad, considering the Customs control procedures in UK where my package have entered in European Union.

No, it is not. I aquired that calculator a long time ago, and in the meantime I got another one which has a "normal" box, not the blister package. Because one CM-100 is enough for me, you have the opportunity to add a nice piece to your collection :-)

RE: Retro Review: Casio CM-100 - jebem - 03-10-2017 11:33 AM

Just to share with you that my second Casio CM-100 unit has arrived safe & fast from that TAS seller in U.S.A..

It took again exactly 15 days (like in the first order) since it was posted until I got it delivered at my home.
This is a good global shipping service from TAS.
I would dare to say that it is a fair s&h price after all, considering it is a secure delivery, free of Customs procedures or goods retention until import taxes are paid, despite involving at least three different carriers (one in USA, another in Spain and yet another one in Portugal).
