Interesting. I thought google could realize that 41, 41c, 41whatever were often together.

And yes "hp" may be redundant.

Unsurprisingly, the HP41 is the queen of most RPN devotees in this forum. Nevertheless, I suppose SM targets a wider audience than... say... ca. 100 active forum members? That is why a non-sited Google search seemed more meaningful to me.

Anyway, nobody in this forum has the faintest chance to convince me! Gents, my HP28s is the pinnacle of absolute perfection. Period!!!! ;O)

HP-41 is way more popular.
Håkan

But Håkan, as a side effect you are including the popular HP 41 ink cartridge for HP color printers, and who knows what other goodies.
I prefer to quote my searches, and include the term you want to refer to: "HP XY calculator". Doing that SAME search for BOTH models seems fair to me.

"hp 42s calculator" 9.400
"hp 41c calculator" 25.800
hp 42s calculator about 157.000
hp 41c calculator about 275.000

So we can pick what we like more... ;)

Another google interesting result:
site:hpmuseum.org 28 useful link ~ 673 res
site:hpmuseum.org 28 useful links ~ 74 results

Now check the first result of both requests.

Why it gives me ~145 results for the first and ~196 for the second?!?!
Google is fooling us!

RE: DM42 News - CY-CL - 12-06-2017 08:43 AM

Google is fooling us!

Because your search results are tailored to your shopping habits, so trying to extract meaningful data from a google search is not very scientific. Each person gets a different result for the same search, depending on what google thinks you would like to find, not what's actually out there.

RE: DM42 News - Michael de Estrada - 12-06-2017 05:28 PM

Google knows more about us than the FBI or NSA.

Nowadays they mostly use Facebook.

I thought that search engines would change the first couple of results for each page, but the total results would be identical.

RE: DM42 News - jebem - 12-06-2017 11:31 PM

Can't resist to tell this well know story, at least on my side of earth (sorry if this is off topic):

A scientific research team, was studying the frogs behavior.

They stared by yelling at the frog: "Jump!"
And the frog jumped.

Then they decided to cut one leg from the frog and told the frog to jump.
The frog did jump.

They scientifically repeat the above procedure four times.
When the frog had no legs, they command the frog to jump.
The frog this time did not jump.

The scientists met for hours and came up with the conclusion:
A frog without legs can not hear.

That explains why Donald Trump was destined to win as President over Hillary Clinton Smile

Except that in our strange electoral process, you can win an election even though you received less votes than your opponent.

also

Google "Hillary Clinton" = 81,200,000 results
Google "Donald Trump" = 212,000,000 results
And hence, Donald Trump is 2.6 times more popular than Hillary Clinton

That depends on how you interpret the data. It could be:

And hence, the HP41cx is 11 times more popular than the HP42s

And hence, Donald Trump is 2.6 times more failure-prone than Hillary Clinton
