Cost of Manual 3.3a PDF Update? - BarryMead - 06-07-2016 07:03 PM

Walter:

I have purchased ALL of your manuals (3.2), (3.3 Spiral), (3.3 Perfect Bound), and (3.3 PDF). Having fully invested in supporting your efforts to produce a quality manual, I was hoping that the updated (3.3a PDF) would be available at a special discount for customers such as myself who have done everything possible to support your work.

Do you have a SPECIAL price for those who wish to UPDATE their 3.3 PDF to the 3.3a PDF? One would hope that the price would be reduced for those who
have already purchased the original PDF.

Thanks for your answer, Barry

I've no problem with a reduced upgrade price.

Neither me. Why not reduce to zero for the PDF version. ("Buy the hardcopy, get the PDF (including updates) for free!" seems to be a good idea.)

Big Grin Sounds like you're volunteering for creating personalized files, converting, uploading, and writing friendly mails in future, don't you?

No, just one PDF per manual version. Wa(l)ter marks and personalized backgrounds don't help with reading or printing the PDFs. Just trust your audience! They will be honest and buy the hardcopy. All the PDF protection efforts don't help against dishonest people but will hamper the others.

We had this discussion once before, didn't we?
In the age of the internet, one 'dishonest' person in a billion will spoil everything. And I bet I know at least one who will although this overall really honourable audience is far less than a billion. Confused

No, Sir. Optimism is lack of experience.
