Hey! any news on the 2016 software? i just got the hp prime and would love to update. It looks like it has really good new features.

Due to 10077 no longer available, I updated my blog accordingly. Sad I grayed out the main text - or should I delete the text altogether?

Deleting the text seems excessive to me: some day, we can expect a new version which will at least fix the reason why firmware revision 10077 was removed, and is unlikely to regress on features. At that point, the text targeted at version 10077 will become useful again Smile

Should I downgrade? - epp - 07-31-2016 04:11 PM

I have installed 10077 and been using it with no problems. Should I remain on this version (if it works don't fix it), or should I install the old version (not sure downgrading is even possible).

I do not have problems with 10077 either.

Until 10077 gets fixed and refreshed (fingers crossed it will be soon), I will post programs using an HP Prime in version 8151. Fortunately I have several spare HP Primes.

Am I able to show this link on my blog? Is it safe to say that the firmware is now available again? Please advise.

Thanks.

Right now, I have the text grayed out.

Hello,

Note that the folder is called "Archive". Unless plans change, this will be a location where prior versions are moved instead of disappearing from the ftp site completely as in the past - in case a user makes a decision to return to an older version for some reason. In this instance, there is a strange situation where the firmware update in the main location is now older then the latest in "Archive".

The primary reason we are posting this up again is to allow users who have a very recent unit to restore functionality to the touch panel. Some users have manually run an update and thus accidentally downgraded causing the "touch to stop working". This will give them an "official" place to get the firmware files once more. The r10077 is an official release, but was pulled as we investigated some issues. However, without it those users would no longer have touch functionality and hence it was important to put back up in some way.

Thanks for the question!
