Pioneer - Flush LCD vs Recessed LCD Interchangeability - Sanjeev Visvanatha - 01-10-2016 02:32 AM

I have a HP 27S with flush LCD (S/N 28.....). The LCD is cracked at the top right corner, right where the Zebra strip is. The crack is not visible from the outside of the calculator. As a result, there are some missing columns in the dot-matrix display.

Are the recessed LCDs of the 17Bii, interchangeable with this? Or are suitable replacements only from the flush LCD series (e.g. older 17B, 27S, 42S)?

FWIW, the P/N on the back of the 27S LCD is Epson LD-B8807A-1.

Thank you.
