[HP 35s] Converting decimals into fractions? - Marcio - 07-27-2015 03:51 AM

Hello all,

Would anybody be kind enough as to explain why the 35s gives completely wrong results when transforming decimals into fractions?

Please, try with the following:

2.36
3.25
7.75

Feels like I am missing something!

Thank you very much.

Marcio

4096 [left shift] /c might "fix" that, in case you haven't done this yet.

HTH,

Gerson.

Oh yes, the manual says 4095. And yes, it does help. Thanks.

The manual also says that you do not have to know or remember the max. denominator.
Simply use 0 /c.
