In what year were you born? - Dave Britten - 05-27-2015 02:05 PM

There was some talk of age demographics in another thread this morning, and I had been wondering about this recently. In what year were you born? (Inclusive of all dates within the given range of years.)

The way we were...

Message #83ff for the big picture.

It seems the family has grown quite a bit since then!

I'd also be interesting to know which calculator are preferred among users of the forums.

Hi Dave,

I found it interesting that you put the question in terms of year birth instead of the more common question of age ranges.

But when I thought about it, we do prefer RPN so maybe using birth range instead of current age range does make sense.

Your age changes, but your birth year doesn't. That'll make it a lot easier to make sense of the data in a few years, or cast a vote then too.

Polls are limited to 10 options, so I had to go with rather wide buckets. The 2010+ one is a bit optimistic now, but in 5-10 years, who knows.

Also, there's no reason you couldn't post more detail in the thread if you're so inclined. (Exact year, preferred calc(s), line of work, etc.)

And I see from the link to that old thread that Eric Rechlin is one of the relative youngsters too.
