RE: Advanced User's Reference - printed version - Thomas_Sch - 11-12-2014 01:40 PM

Hello dizzy,
I'm still in for both user's guide and AUR.
What's the next step?

Thanks, Thomas

Dizzy:

I'm interested in both the User's Guide and the AUR (hope I'm not too late). I'm in Canada, by the way.

Thank you.

Hello Dizzy,

What a problem during for all this time? Are you such poor, that can not decide this simple problem? Or does live in Congo?

He is doing a favor in his free time (when he has a free time) and are you complaining?

Lets forget it, please.

Dizzy, thanks for your efforts and take your time.

Hi Dizzy,

Although I recently managed to obtain what appears to be the second-to-last printed copy of the German AUR for the HP 50g available in Europe (and also own the AUR for the HP 48GX), please count me in for both, printed copies of the English AUR and UG for the 50g as well.

Thanks and greetings,

Matthias

Since I signed up for the UG I've found a few more nickels to rub together and would like in on the AUG also.

RE: Advanced User's Reference - printed version - dizzy - 01-19-2015 06:20 PM

The reason for the delay is indeed that this is a spare-time project. I travel frequently and have to fit the project in around that. I was also waiting to get the User's Guide sorted so that the two sets of manuals could be shipped together for those ordering a pair.

I think I'm going to arrange for the AUR to be printed first. I don't think it will be cheaper to ship the AUR + User's Guide together as the weight will push the parcel into the next size class.

I've set up a simple PayPal form to (hopefully) make my life a little easier. It would be useful to test this out to see if the shipping stuff is integrated properly. Anyone want to be a guinea pig for the first payment?

I volunteer to test the payment form...

Hi dizzy,

I already have your AUR so I am wondering how much the User's Guide only would cost including shipping to Australia?

Thanks,

Michael

Hi dizzy,

please count me in for both the UG and AUG.

Thank you very much !
Bruno

(Un?)fortunately the test payment (courtesy of DMaier) drew my attention to the fact that PayPal imposes additional fees for international payments, so I've had to round up the prices to ensure that is covered. I've also updated the base price for the manuals from the figure I gave in my previous post to reflect the latest quote I have.

I've run some numbers on the User's Guide - I'm sure now that posting two two sets of manuals together isn't going to be economical. It might have been possible to shave off a bit of weight by reducing the paper quality to the lowest option, but it's a different kind of paper to the one used for the AUR, so this is probably risky, and it still isn't certain that the weight would be under the "small parcels" rate.

So, here's the page to place your order for the Advanced User's Reference.

(link removed)

Feel free to place an order even if you haven't previously registered your interest. I'll send out "ping" PMs to anyone who has expressed an interest but not placed an order in a few days.

If you have a special need (e.g. location not listed on the form, want me to send to an address other than your registered PayPal one), please let me know.

I'll follow up with the User's Guide soon on the other thread. The shipping prices will be the same, and the price of the two manuals about the same (a little bit cheaper).

Hi Dizzy,

Thank you for your efforts.

Although I wasn't on the list before, I just ordered the AUG using the Paypal form.
Please also count me in for the coming UG run.
