Black hole observed! - walter b - 01-28-2015 07:44 AM [Moderator note: This thread is the combination of around 10 threads started by the same person. Since that person is taking a vacation anyway, I decided to tidy the admin forum by combining these threads into one.] The last 4 posts in the thread "43S status" are not indicated anymore in the thread overview. See e.g. this one. They appear on the heap, however. Please crosscheck and correct. TIA d:-? They may think of something else to try later. RE: Black hole observed! - walter b - 01-29-2015 02:53 AM (01-29-2015 12:21 AM)Dave Hicks Wrote: I brought this up with the MY BB developers, ... Thankyou. Could they explain the different behavior in both threads yet? d:-? RE: Black hole observed! - Dave Hicks - 01-29-2015 04:57 AM They don't follow the theory that there is a post count limit so a thread with more posts is not inherently interesting for them. OK. I'm willing to do some experiments, but without a hypothesis of the cause that's a bit difficult. d:-/ RE: Black hole observed! - Dave Frederickson - 01-29-2015 05:29 AM I think I know what started this mess. Maybe it'll lead to a solution or perhaps a warning regarding the dangers of deleting posts. Yesterday I posted in the 43s status thread regarding speculation of the price of the 43s. You, Walter, countered with a post about the cost. I didn't catch the change in terminology and that led to the exchange of a few more posts. Once I realized my mistake I deleted the offending posts. I explained to Den that it was my mistake. I'll take the rap for dropping the singularity and the mess it's created. Now if I could just say, "I've got a 'ole in me pocket" like Ringo from Yellow Submarine. Dave RE: Black hole observed! - walter b - 01-29-2015 05:58 AM Be assured I didn't notize anything offending. Though I must admit we're far less sensitive in such matters on this side of the great pond as it was often demonstrated on the forum. Anyway, deleted posts are a hypothesis. Thankyou. Let's see how we can verify. d:-) (Edited to correct a typo in a foreign language.)
