How to define piecewise functions - jc_63 - 12-29-2013 06:16 PM

Hello, i try to define a piecewise function in SYMB view like this :

In Plot view, i see F1(X) and F2(X) undefined :
[attachment=78]
How can i resolve this ? Thanks.

Use the piecewise function. | is used for variable substitution, not domain restriction. Use a [,] key press while in the last box to add more lines.

You could also use the old standby of (2*X)/(X<5) which works on any calculator if it has a piecewise operator or not.

Try entering the PIECEWISE expression in algebraic mode:

[attachment=80]

This will get the results you are looking for:

[attachment=81]
