How can this price be possible? - alexzkter - 10-15-2014 02:56 PM

I mean...I paid 140€ at the same supermarket (Alcampo in Valencia-Spain) like 7-8 months ago thinking that I had saved 10-15€ compared to other local stores....

Wow - $75 US would be a great deal here too.

My guess would be that "it fell of the back of a truck".... happens quite frequently in some places.

Did someone forget to print a 1 in front of that price? It seems rather low for a graphing calculator...

After Tax (IVA)?

is it stocked in the rubberband section Smile

If they can't sell their stock, they have to lower the price. That's what made me a proud owner of the 32SII in the 90th - the price was unbelievable but real :-).

Final price 140€, exactly.

They aren't rubberbands, it's whole wheat pasta, dur. Lol jokes apart, it's stocked in the pencil/books section. Exactly where the calculators are, but it's kind of hidden because it's below all the stuff (calculators->rubberbands&other stufff) almost on the floor. Like I said, it's where it's always been. The one I bought was there too. I got the impression I'm one of the few people that know that's actually there haha

That's the real price? (I mean if you take the calculator to a price check machine, I am guessing is more a typo, because it is too cheap even for the materials!... or maybe is to switch stock with the non-wireless?)

My guess is not much over 10 bucks for materials in the quantities they buy them in, but that's only a guess.
Then you add labor, upkeep, overhead, various taxes and import duties, shipping, storage costs, mark-up, the price of the bag the cashier puts it into......

In digikey, if you try using 10000 as quantity the cpu, ram, lcd, battery and other basic stuff don't go below 10 bucks. How many units is HP ordering? probably around that number?

Digikey isn't a cheap supplier in quantity. Great for small quantities though.

I would expect HP to be making quite a lot more than 10k and this is where the real price breaks start happening.
