Wow! Refurbished HP 30b calculators are available for only $175.85 from Memory4LessĀ®.

[I'm not affiliated with them in any way, and I do NOT recommend that you buy an HP 30b from them.]

I wonder what "refurbished" might mean? Backconverted WP34S units maybe? ;-)

There were some $10 to $20 offers lately. Some of those who tried them reported keyboard problems. I fear refurbished units are not much more than just returned units. I'd stay away from buying these, even at seemingly reasonable prices.

I recently got a couple of units from El Dorado Trading in TAS, for about 12 USD each, and had no keyboard (or other) issues at all. They came in bubble wrap with pouch and quick start guide. But considering that Samson Cables has them for 20 USD sealed in box (or blister, or whatever they use now), you are rigth, better not to risk and get these ones.
