There's a number of interesting free e-books here:

http://www.k100.biz/parade.htm

Relevant here is "The Great Hewlett-Packard", which has chapters on the 35, 45, 67, 41C & 85, as well as on other HP kit.

There are also interesting books on Tektronix 'scopes.

Apols if this is common knowledge; was new to me.

Good book, lots of pics. Love the test equipment too.

Though saying the HP-9100 was a just another Programma 101 is a huge jump.
It was just a programmable adding machine. Nowhere near the capabilities of the 9100.
More heritage from the early Friden machines with similar CRT displays.

FYI - The "The Great Hewlett-Packard"eBook is a work in progress; Gianni is currently working on this book, adding more HP devices. These books are awesome, both full of historical and interesting information but also works of art, as full of eye candy as any book you'll find. RECOMMENDED!!
