[BUG] Home display bug after warmstart - Han - 08-28-2014 01:15 PM Bug #1 Firmware: 2014 7 2 (6031) Press and hold [ON] and then press the [Apps] and [Esc] keys (while holding [ON]) and then release all three buttons. When the HP logo appears, press the [C] key (hold it for about 1/2 a second), then press a few other keys that would normally bring up a menu (e.g. the [Apps] key or the [Vars] key) -- all while still in the "bootup" screen. When the calculator finally "boots" you will often see the math template screen displayed, but cannot interact with it. Even the [OK] menu item doesn't work. Pressing [Esc] does not properly clear the menu. To get the screen to clear, you have to force a redraw (e.g. change to CAS view or some other screen) and then return to the Home view. Unfortunately, it is only a temporary fix. If you open the [Apps] view, however, you can see the problem. You cannot access the icons below the template window, and the template window does not work, either. [attachment=1038] Edit: (1) To fix the issue, use a regular reset ([On][Apps][Esc]) and don't touch any keys. (2) This seems like a keyboard buffer issue; perhaps it needs to be flushed after trapping any during-boot key sequences (e.g. CFO) and prior to loading the home screen. Bug #2 Look more carefully at the screenshot (taken from the connectivity kit) and you can see some colors are off (namely the menu). |
