Displaying a derivative of a function along with the function in Function App - mcjtom - 08-09-2014 11:23 AM

It's easy now, but took me a bit to discover it: how to display a derivative function along with the mother function in Function App?

F1(X)=f(X)
F2(X)=dF1(X)/dX=X

Use a derivative template from template button.

This doesn't seem to work if the F1(X) is defined as a piecewise function. If the derivative itself is defined as a piecewise function, it works fine.

Here is a related thread showing a few ways to do this.
