wanted: supplier for custom keyboard overlays - brouhaha - 01-12-2023 08:52 PM

Does anyone know of a good supplier for custom adhesive-backed die-cut printed keyboard overlays, like many HP calculators used for shifted function legends? I'd like to have such an overlay made to replace the overlay of HP Voyager calculators.

Many years ago I saw similar things from Lucas Duralith, but they've either closed or been acquired.

Eric,
Hope you're well.

I too have been looking for similar - I was looking for the polyester film overlay (with
'stickum') you could lay over printed material to do 'front panel stuff'. Most importantly,
it also had alum. oxide (synth. sapphire) as a texture/durability wear layer - just like good flooring. Sadly I couldn't find my notes from a few yrs ago. HP test equipment from the
90s - scopes, spectrum analyzers etc. - had such panels.

I note that Alibaba suppliers do similar things for touch keypads/panels, and their costs
setup costs are pretty low for 100+ samples (they're very automated - just send PDFs/
diagrams).
