Polishing key caps - Jeff_Birt - 08-31-2022 12:20 PM The machine I was working on here is not an HP or calculator/pocket computer but the section on polishing keycaps might be of interested to HP aficionados with faded or scratched double shot keycaps. Great machine for the time, in color and with a decent keyboard and way cheaper than the Atari 800 (cheaper Atari 400 had an awful ZX81 style keyboard). Vic20 main issue was the stock RAM (5ko ?), i had to install a multislot cartridge holder into which i could add an 8Ko expenssion cartridge (or it was 16Ko) and at the same time a game/software cartridge....with a "magic" button that was just cloning the Cartridge ROM into the RAM.... allowing me to "save" it onto a tape. 6502 µproc programmable using a monitor in Hexa. And i got that huge floppy disk unit connected via a serial cable. Had also the printer. Great system that i replaced by an Amstrad CPC464 a couple of years later using the Z80.... |
