My April fool's wish - the HP-80B or DM-80B - Gene - 04-01-2021 08:44 PM

This was presented some years ago at an HHC conference. Jake Schwartz and I worked it up as an "ultimate" programmable financial machine.

At the time, one objection we heard from HP was that there was ** no way ** the screen could ever be so close to the edge of the unit. Well, Swiss Micros showed that was not correct. :-)

Screen was an off the shelf HP-50G style LCD. Alpha would have been HP-42S style. FOCAL style programming.

Sigh. Don't think this will ever exist, but fun to imagine.

I like the perennial April Fool's one that has HLT CTCH FIRE buttons.
