hmm, this used to give a sigma symbol, it doesn't work anymore. Anyone know why?

All the backslash things don't seem to work anymore.

OK, Katie was right below, regarding the backslash ( and backslash ) surrounding the codes. It works. But if you edit an existing post, you have to do a full edit, not a quick edit, or it won't process it correctly.

I never understood how to use that stuff. But from my javascript blocker it looks like it was being provided by rackcdn.com. Maybe there is a problem there.

I think you forgot to surround \Sigma with <backslash><open paren> ... <backslash><close paren> like this:

\( \Sigma \)
