How to tell if REV A or B without seeing Package - Harold A Climer - 06-18-2014 01:43 PM

I was wondering if anyone knows how to tell a REV A Prime from a REV B without seeing the packaging?
As far as I know there is no place locally where the Prime is on display. I had bought my Prime last November from AMAZON. Is there a new product number for Revision B so I could distinguish the two?

Hi,

Revision A is NW280AA
New revision (I do not know if it is B or C) is G8X92AA. This is the one with the connectivity enabled (wireless, Prime <=> Prime, Prime => Emulated Prime).

Miguel

Most of the Amazon ads have the product info listed pretty clearly.

For example:

Brand Name HP
Item Weight 8 ounces
Product Dimensions 7.2 x 3.4 x 0.6 inches
Item model number NW280AA
Number of Items 1
Manufacturer Part Number NW280AA

So with a little checking and perhaps an email to verify the correctness with the seller, you should have your answer.

Alternatively, you could search TAS and Flamazon with the G8X92AA part number Miguel referenced.

As far as I know, it hasn't even been released yet. If you find one, please let me know..

I was able to order a HP Prime Model G8X92AA directly from HP earlier today.

The HP website lists the HP Prime with the part number NW280AA.

That's correct. But I able to order the G8X92AA today. I sent an email yesterday to the HP Home & Home Office Store and I was told to contact the HP Small Business Direct team at 877-203-4848. The Small Business team really wouldn't take an order from me because I wasn't ordered on behalf of a business so they forwarded my call to I don't know what department. But I ultimately I got it done.

I had googled that website the other day. That prompted me the email HP customer service whom then responded with the number to call.

WHERE?!? I'm on shopping.hp.com right now and the only model listed is NW280AA#ABA

Could you provide a URL?
TIA

I called that number as well as HP's 888-999-4747 number but neither person could even find the G part # anywhere in the system so I wasn't able to order it. Sad

Strange... However a quick search reveals a few links from HP sites:

Even in Portuguese:

Well, 203 Euro = 276 USD, and that doesn't even include the wireless kit, so you can count me out.

Wow that's insane. I got mine from HPCalc store for $130 (although with $65 shipping + custom clearance fees). It was obviously a REV A model, though, which used to have Prime -> Emulated Prime connectivity and vice-versa, but nothing else.
