Question to the FRAM71 Toolkit from Dave F - KimH - 02-01-2021 05:21 PM First of all, thanks for a very nice description of how to load the ROMs! Combined with Hans' Guide, this helped me decipher what is going on inside the FRAM when installing the 2 FORTH parts. As well as making it possible to use the ILPer rather than a serial link Question: There is an option to modify the IRAM identifier to ROM by poking zeros into the relevant address. Does this make a difference for functionality, or is it rather esthetics? RE: Question to the FRAM71 Toolkit from Dave F - Dave Frederickson - 02-01-2021 05:53 PM I don't think it makes any difference. The Finance ROM didn't have the IRAM ID removed and it works just fine. I believe the Diag ROM treats IRAM's like ROM's and just verifies the checksum. Dave |
