WANTED: HP32E Repair - Mike T. - 10-02-2020 12:07 AM

I'd like to find someone in the UK (or Europe) that has the ability to repair my HP32E, unfortunately it has the old style solder-less construction so it is now hopelessly unreliable!

If I thought it was possible for me solder the chips to the flexible PCB I might have attempted to repair it myself but I wouldn't trust my eyesight (or ancient soldering iron) to do such a delicate repair these days.

Hello Mike,

Long time ago Luiz Vieira, a nice guy and electronic teacher living in Brazil who knew his beloved first HP calc (32e) very well could have informed you about your problem. Unfortunately I don't have any news from him anymore (and you are searching someone in Europe) but you can probably find some of his posts relying to your problem on this forum.

Success!
