Looking for someone able to repair HP 32E - emmepi62 - 05-13-2020 05:50 AM

Hello,
I have an original HP 32E; the battery pack is not anymore working (so I need a new one) and the contacts inside are broken as well
I'm located in Italy, so preferabily I'd like to ship it in Europe if there is someone able to repair.
I remember that some years ago there was someone in Spain..
Thank you for suggesting / helping
Mauro

Welcome Mauro,

replacing the battery pack and building up new battery contacts is time consuming work. With shipping you may get costs that easily exceed your 32e's value.
Did you consider repairing your HP on your own? It can be fun and exciting, too.
You could post some pictures and ask for help in the General Forum.

Hello Mauro.

Rebuilding the power pack is as easy as buying two flat tipped AA batteries and inserting a metal tab between them. You want them to be closer to 49 mm than to 50 mm long so they do not put too much strain on the calculator frame. Check the pics below so you can see how simple it is

Regarding the battery contacts, there is a replacement part coming soon from Panamatik. Check this thread.

I must add that I hate working on SPICEs!!!
