Repair HP97? - John Liu - 03-14-2020 06:40 PM

I took my old HP97 out of storage to find that the printer doesn’t work (display flashes gibberish) and the “0” key is non responsive.

Is anyone repairing these?

I would very much appreciate a referral. Thanks!

Might be worth a quick look inside.

Common problems:

Flat/faulty/leaky battery (should read about 5V, recharge/replace)
Dirty battery contacts (clean)
Moisture inside the calculator (blow dry/clean)
Dirt/Oxidation on the inter PCB contacts (clean)
Corrosion build up on circuit boards (clean)

cheers
