SD Card Size on 50g - toml_12953 - 09-24-2019 07:24 AM

I have a 1GB SD card in my 50g and it displays the free memory properly. If I use a 2GB card, it works but doesn't show the free space properly. Was this ever fixed in a ROM revision? If so what revision is it?

No, it was never fixed. You can use all the space, but the Filer doesn't show free space properly: if the free space is over 1GB, the leading '1' is missing, so the real value could be the value shown, or that value plus 1,000,000,000 bytes.

Also, note that cards > 1GB must be formatted on a computer, not in the 50g, and should be formatted as FAT-16, not FAT-32, for faster switch-on. FAT-16 is required if the card is to be used for SD-based ROM upgrades/reflashes.

That was never fixed. My understanding (and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong) is that the missing free space is actually usable, even though it isn't reported properly.
