Wasn't there an HP calculator with which you could enter feet & inches, for either arithmetic operations, or just for conversion to decimal ? (not for conversion to metric though).
I have a recollection of something like that, perhaps on my 32S or 42S.

The 48/49/50 has conversion for either feet or inches, but not for "feet inches" entry.
However, Joe Horn to the rescue, his FIF program converts between Feet-Inches, Fraction and Decimal.

As far as I know some other HP calculators can convert between inches and cm, but would require a program to convert feet-inches to decimal.

There was the AEC Rom for the HP41 which had decimal feet, meters, inch and fractional which worked great. The module is hard to find though.

If you buy an HP 41CL then the AEC rom is included along with 500 others!
