So my 48 can come out of the closet. I copied the old style writing desk and made spot for the 48sx and printer.

How skilled at woodworking are you? You could take it a step further and add a rotating insert, flush with the surface, that has a collapsing stand for the calculator. Not at all necessary, but a nice, geeky aedition! You can buy 4 inch lazy Susan rings to use for the rotating mechanism. I'd imagine it being off to the back right a little, as a righty.
