Invalid Card Data startup error on HP48GX - John W Kercheval - 04-25-2014 12:04 PM

Hello:

My HP 48GX is giving me an error on startup called "Invalid Card Data." The card plugged in the an (empty) 1MB expansion card from HP.

How do I fix this? Any ideas?

thanks,

John

Use the PINIT command. If even after using the PINIT command you are still getting Invalid Data upon turning the calculator on, then I recommend changing the card's battery.

Thanks! PINIT worked.

Anyone finding this topic by searching this site might like to know I encountered this same error on an HP50g (not mine). Other than the SD card slot, there are no card options on that model. There was no SD card inserted.

Interestingly enough PINIT made it go away as well.

Ciao.
