The biggest issue I have with the 48S/SX (vs G/GX) is the terrible display, the 48G/GX to seemed far superior and the later "black display" G/GX's better still. I did have a 28S briefly and was quite impressed by the screen clarity. Now the DM-16L display is far superior to the HP-16C's... That's a legitimate concern with the 48sx. It is still possible to swap out the display with a donor from an appropriate system (this is a 39g display placed into my 48sx): As was mentioned in another thread, this display on the existing color scheme of the 48sx makes for a nice presentation. It definitely has much better contrast and clarity than the original display!
