Hi all,

Since some of you had showed interest in them, I've finally decided to put some items for sale, including this HP-41C prototype and the unique STO. DOMINGO ROM module.

Check tomorrow evening (sure you can find where :-)

Xmas sale is open!

Enjoy.

Best from the Canaries.

Diego.

Note: I'm about to turn 60 next month, that's why you'll find "59.9" figures all over. ;-)

One week ago, was sold on eBay another prototype. It was declared as 1901A00043, but this is not correct, because the backside is from a production run “warranty” HP-41. And the CPU-Board contains three NUT Rom’s from a later production date as them from 1916A00066 Prototype.

The correct S/N would about 1916A00100 regarding the production date from the NUT Rom's.

Do you have the bays number of the auction, please?

RE: Early (earliest?) HP-41C find. - CY-CL - 08-30-2019 07:31 PM

Sure; the auction number is: 123884788017

Can not find it. No longer viewable on the bay?

Ok, so the earlies proto ist still in your hand CY-CL?
Here is Jürgens description:

But I agree: the non working calc is not worth that price Wink

Has anyone been able to do a bug check on the D-D-D rom images with this earliest HP 41 ? Presumably the important bugs 2 and 3 and there, but anything else found?

Good catch! Unfortunately, the picture of the front does not really help to determine if everything is original. Such an item is still missing in my collection.

Looks like this is the one: https://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/hpmuseum/archv004.cgi?read=7364
However, the last three digits are 278. Typo?

dump of 1901A "DDC" ROM 2C? - brouhaha - 03-10-2024 11:30 AM

Preproduction 1901A units are reported to have used "DDC" mainframe ROMs. Has anyone done a dump of the hitherto unknown ROM2C, or looked at the CPU board to see what the ROM's part number is?

The analysis of the also-rare prototype DDD was quite interesting.

RE: Early (earliest?) HP-41C find. - hp41cx - 03-11-2024 08:24 PM

1926 A 00255 ROM: ??? - Status: Needs full restoration, is probably a CV with 319 register, Brasil

This information is completely wrong.
This HP-41C belonged to my father.
She is exactly an HP-41C with all the bugs.
She is perfect.
It is working correctly.
it has never been reconditioned.
If you need new photos, just ask.
Just don't ask me to open it.
I'm afraid of damaging the fixation of both parts of it.

Just looked at my first 41CV #2209S41537 with a speed upgrade hoping to turn into a 41CL, as it seems to have given up the ghost. My second 41CV #2238S40851. Both of these calculators seem to be way later along the line.

I looked at my HP-67 #1702A00868, bought it in 1978. Don't know where that puts it in the supply chain. I read some of the other chains so I think its 1977, week 2, USA, #868.

Originally purchase a HP-45, Moved up to HP-55 then a HP-67 (see above) then HP-97. HP-41CV, HP-35 and on and on. I'm running out of display space. I did manage to get a PPC ROM when it first came out, CCD ROM same. I have purchased so much stuff from EduCalc that I should be broke and the wife thinks I'm nuts.

I would like to say thank you to all the folks and the 500,000+ pages on these calculators. A good portion was well above my head but you have schooled me well. I even contributed an article in the PPC Computer Journal. So thanks again!
