HP 82104A Card Reader Serial Numbers - drdbthompson - 06-09-2018 08:54 PM I've been fiddling around with 41 card readers the last week and got to wondering if there is a table of serial numbers and ROM versions floating around somewhere. I searched Google and I search through the forum entries, but no joy. So, I thought I'd poll the membership and see if anyone knows if such a beast exists. I can confirm that unit 2704S80057 is ROM Version 1G. I can also confirm that unit 2220S80921 is ROM Version 1F. Thanks! Barbosa - 06-10-2018 04:59 PM 2018S45366 CATALOG 2 -> CARD READER No version, which means that’s the very first version. Anyway, it doesn’t work anymore. (I get MALFUNCTION or CARD ERR). I would try the abrasive red card, if I had one. Gerson. RE: HP 82104A Card Reader Serial Numbers - Sylvain Cote - 06-10-2018 06:45 PM You need the service module to get ROM version 1D or less. Code: CR-1D 1945A01004 Code: CR-1E 2052S48206 Code: CR-1G 2432S80360 I think I got all of them Sylvain RE: HP 82104A Card Reader Serial Numbers - rprosperi - 06-10-2018 07:22 PM (06-10-2018 06:45 PM)Sylvain Cote Wrote: You need the service module to get ROM version 1D or less. Interesting that in Singapore they switched to Rev E not later than last week of 1980, but then used some Rev D ROMs again in the first week of 1981. Could be start-up inventory issues? So, the week 58 would mean 6 weeks into the new year, or 2106. It was a sequencing issue and this is the first instance I've seen. Weird, right?
